Currently we are not making any grants towards the cost of white goods and other household items, house repairs (with the exception of the over 60’s in England), garden work or sensory equipment. This is because our donations are not as high as our targets and we are having to prioritise our grant making to improve independent living.
Any health, social care or housing worker, or worker for a charity, who is supporting the individual requiring assistance, is capable of assessing their needs and willing to act on their client’s behalf can make a Grant Application on their behalf.
We do not accept applications directly from individual members of the public. All applications must be submitted on behalf of the individual by professional supporters-Referrers. The following supporters are eligible to be Referrers.
Written confirmation of medical diagnosis will be required from all non-medical agencies. More information can be found in our FAQs .
Please ensure that you have any attachments e.g. Occupational Therapy Report, Quotation, ready in a soft copy version, including scanning any relevant documents, before you begin to complete the Form/s
To start the application process please complete the Referrer Form click here.
As the Referrer, when you have submitted the completed Referrer Form you will receive an email with a link to the Grant Application Form. This form will need to be completed by you, the Referrer, and the Applicant (the person requiring assistance).
When both parts of the Grant Application (the Referrer Form and the Grant Application Form) are submitted to Independence at Home the application will then be assessed by Independence at Home staff.
Please note we do not accept paper or letter applications and can only consider applications made on-line. If this would cause a problem for you please call us on 020 8427 7929 Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
